Ever wondered what a day in the life of a chiropractor is like?! let's dive into! This is a great way to learn the behind the scenes of what happens.

A Day in the Life of a Chiropractor: Balancing Patient Care and Professional Responsibilities

**Morning Routine:**
6:30 AM: A chiropractor typically starts the day early to prepare for patient appointments. After a healthy breakfast (mine is usually a couple pasture raised eggs, half an apple, and maybe some bacon if I am lucky) and some personal time, they head to the office to begin their day.

**Patient Appointments:**
8:00 AM: My first appointments of the day begin! Patients may come in with a variety of issues, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, or joint discomfort. I conduct thorough assessments, including reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and possibly ordering diagnostic tests like X-rays if necessary through your primary.

9:30 AM: Throughout the morning, I am performing chiropractic adjustments and manipulations to address misalignments in the spine and other joints. I also utilize other techniques such as soft tissue therapy, therapeutic exercises, or lifestyle counseling to support the overall health and well-being of their patients.

**Administrative Tasks:**
11:30 AM: Between patient appointments, I take care of administrative tasks, such as reviewing patient charts, documenting treatment notes, and coordinating with other healthcare providers if needed. I may also use this time to return phone calls, respond to emails, and schedule follow-up appointments for patients.

**Lunch Break:**
12:30 PM: Sike! I typically don't schedule a break and will typically either eat between patients or during cupping therapy!

**Afternoon Appointments:**
2:00 PM: I continue seeing patients in the afternoon.

3:30 PM: In addition to hands-on adjustments, I may offer advice on ergonomics, posture, exercise routines, and nutritional strategies to support their patients' health goals and prevent future injuries or discomfort.

**Continuing Education and Professional Development:**
6:00 PM: After the last patient appointment of the day, I may dedicate time to continuing education and professional development. This could involve attending seminars, workshops, or online courses to stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and advancements in the field of chiropractic care. Currently working on my CACCP exam as well as my lactation consultant education

**Community Outreach and Networking:**
6:30 PM: I typically will either head home to start with dinner or most of the time I am heading to play volleyball!

**Evening Routine:**
8:00 PM: As the workday winds down, I also take time to unwind, spend quality time with family and friends, or engage in hobbies and interests outside of work to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

**Conclusion:**
A day in the life of a chiropractor is filled with patient care, professional responsibilities, and ongoing efforts to promote health and wellness within their community. Through hands-on treatments, personalized guidance, and a commitment to continuous learning, chiropractors play a vital role in helping individuals achieve optimal musculoskeletal health and overall well-being.

Many people don't realize there are many tasks behind the scenes and it is not just adjusting people all day!
